Fio., Clorofilla - September 2020

The collection follows one of the macro trends for 2020 interiors: “Biophilic Design”. This Trend focuses on the relationship between Man and Nature, striving to create spaces to “bring the outdoors” into, to give people the opportunity to make the best of it. The project is composed of a range of tiles inspired by hand-crafted botanical designs that bring the natural universe of the outdoors into interiors.

Granum, Fioranese Ceramica - September 2020

Granum, Fioranese Ceramica - September 2020

The inspiration comes from two granites of Brazilian origin: the distinctive blue of Azul Bahia and the deep black of Via Lattea, both crossed through by white veins and with a small-medium grain. The other colours start out from black, gradually shifting through dark and light grey to white. The subtle texture and veins, tempered with a very light white, reminiscent of the night sky in black, give the product a smooth, extremely sophisticated appearance.

Déjà-vu Collection, Greslab - year 2020

Déjà-vu Collection, Greslab - year 2020

The collection draws inspiration from Morocco and its rich history of patterns. The common design concept behind all of them is the layering of patterns and meta patterns. Each tile has a chromatic variation that highlights “the imperfection of craftsmanship” which refers to the process in which the water-based cement is produced. They are suited for commercial and residential applications both for wall and floor.

I'm - Italian Marbles - Ornamenta, September 2020

I'm - Italian Marbles - Ornamenta, September 2020

A trendy collection that plays with the colors of the famous Italian marbles to achieve a fresh and modern aesthetic with the interiors. An intentional play of textures and triangular shapes to create a colored surface that does not go unnoticed. I'm Italian marbles. Multi-colored marble tiles assembled in a messy way to ensure your space stands out from the others. The use of elegant Italian marbles such as Verde Alpi, Rosso Verona, Bianco Carrara, Giallo Reale, Nero di Porto Venere, "assembled" in different forms, sends a very powerful message: craftsmanship and creativity still play a key role in the interior.

Cityscape, Ornamenta - September 2020

People seek connections with nature to counter the effects of their sedentary life, spending a lot of time glued to cell phone screens on social media as our appetite for them seems insatiable. In the search for a new closeness to nature, Cityscape was born, a collection whose goal is to make the beauty of natural stone faithfully reproduced in digital dialogue dialogue, hybridizing it in the contemporary social context to make it more usable. Cityscape is inspired by the famous Belgian Blue natural stone, whose surface shows the signs of a micro-sandblasting process that emphasizes its essence. Available in 3 sizes and 4 colors in a single finish.

Liquida, Fio. - Cersaie 2018

Liquida, Fio. - Cersaie 2018

Shapes and patterns with a Fifties allure team up with painstaking colour research to turn traditional into trendy. Liquida, the new 20×20 project by Davide Tonelli, is the start of an investigative new journey into the world of ceramics. The six pastel colours – ivory, dove grey, rose, sage, powder blue and cocoa – are the result of a careful look into new trends to create an eclectic porcelain stoneware, completed by eight patterns that are an expression of different contemporary styles, ready to engage with both residential and non-residential settings. The surface is inspired by a natural, contemporary limestone, featuring a texture with a classic handmade look. Liquida offers the opportunity to create a variety of combinations when it comes to installation: thanks to the choice of different colours and patterns, a range of completely different scenarios can be created with a single collection.

Land of Italy, Fioranese Ceramica - Cersaie 2019

Land of Italy, Fioranese Ceramica - Cersaie 2019

Land of Italy is the result of Davide Tonelli’s investigation of an iconic Italian stone frequently used in Roman times: “Aurisina Lumachella”, a compact limestone composed of a rich organic fraction represented by fossils fragments of extremely variable shapes and sizes. A material that becomes stone-effect porcelain stoneware, Land of Italy is emblematic of the Italian urban and extra-urban landscapes through the ages. The colour palette runs from grey, through hazelnut grey, sand and white and then onto black. Shape and colour combinations translate into decorations with a contemporary design blending original geometries and material appeal. Land of Italy offers a Mix decoration that brings together all the colours in the collection, making it versatile and easily adaptable to both classic and modern settings.

Terrazzo, Coem - Cersaie 2017

Terrazzo, Coem - Cersaie 2017

“Terrazzo” is one of the trends that has marked the last few years.
It originated in the 15th century in Venice as an attractive way to use leftover pieces of marble, granite and quartz, which were mixed with cement to form a single compound similar to an irregular mosaic in appearance. It was widely used both for its durability and because it could be used to create patterns. However, while the original terrazzo was composed of a mix of little fragments scattered in the cement, the terrazzo made today is a mix of slivers of larger sizes, less dense and with more surprising graphics. The terrazzo finish offers an alternative option to the popularity of marble, a material we’ve seen a huge amount of in recent years, when it’s been one of the most popular interior and design trends. Terrazzo by Coem allows for a variety of applications and interesting colour combinations, making it an extremely versatile, eye-catching collection. Suitable for both residential and commercial settings, it blends attractively with both modern and traditional styles, bringing a unique touch to both.

Manifesto, Ornamenta - Cersaie 2017

Manifesto, Ornamenta - Cersaie 2017

What purpose does ornament serve the design of an object? Is it simply a function of style? Does ornament contribute anything meaningful to objects today? Ornamenta ’s provocative answer is in this collection, called “Manifesto”, in which the ornament was assumed at absolute protagonist. Hand painted canvas on which the author expresses his creativity in two sizes and five colours, synthesis of experimentation on the materials and stylistic fronts.

Ornamenta, Oplus - Cersaie 2016, ADI CERAMIC DESIGN AWARD

Ornamenta, Oplus - Cersaie 2016, ADI CERAMIC DESIGN AWARD

The OPLUS+ concept represents a regular stitch of signs that define, in their ensemble, a “mosaic” texture. The semantic composing the texture is originated “in negative” from the re-definition of traditionally present joints among the tesserae and synthesized in a capricious array of “+” signs. Actually, even if the grid looks regular, the single signs composing it are turned with different angles in comparison with their centre, like as the enitre composition got a “flicker”. In some rare cases, the “+” signs are pointed out with a contrast coloration, almost determining a constellation of little points of reference, that give the entire texture a little bit of vivacity.

Artwork, Ornamenta - Cersaie 2015

Artwork, Ornamenta - Cersaie 2015

“Artwork” comes to life on a white basis of gres porcelain, the paper, on which are “loaded” the characteristic features of each surface. Black and other colours are applied with a perfect print, without smudgings and the colour glazed ensures an high-resistance at the same time. Marble, Brick and Wood can be set “stand-alone” both on wall and on fl oor, by using the different modules, or “random”, by matching themselves together in pairs or by composing a “total patchwork”. Marble loses the classic “photorealism” by imitation and its drawn veins are purposely emphasized to give a contemporary re-interpretation.
